10 of Swords
This is not a happy card to look at. But what does it mean, really? Think about it. Swords represent our thoughts. In this card, we see a figure who for all intents and purposes is dead with swords stabbed into him. So, if swords represent the mind, then it follows that this figure’s own thoughts have killed him. How did this happen? This is normal and it is easy to do. We all go through this. We get so caught up in worry and frustration and fear and all such matters of negative thought that we finally can’t take it anymore. Are any of us immune to this? The trick is to identify negative thoughts and not let them take root. By taking root, they will sink into our soul and drain us of energy. But that does not mean deny them. It means to observe them, take the message you need from them, and then let them drift away. That is the goal of the day- to release the negativity that may be sinking in. Be mindful too, that what you may be feeling may not even be originating with you. How sensitive are you to other people’s energy? Some of us are highly sensitive to the vibes others are putting out. You may be feeling their negativity, if you can’t identify it within yourself. Do what you can to shield yourself from this. It is not meant for you to be effected by this.
