Take it easy. haven’t you been working hard this past week? Didn’t you take on more than you usually do? Doesn’t it seem like your life has been dedicated to everybody but yourself lately? Today, change that pattern. Give yourself a break. Relax as much as you can. It’s your turn for your own thing. Feel good about it. Don’t feel pressured to be what anybody else needs you to be or to do whatever anybody else needs you to do. It’s easy to get lost in the demands of others. Today though, it is about you. Take a break. Take it easy. Relax.

“Remember to breathe.” People say this all the time. What does it mean though? It means when when you feel stress or that things are getting out of control for you, pause for a moment. Allow yourself at least a few seconds of relaxation. Focus on the air flowing in through your nostrils, filling your lungs, and then exhaled. Three meditative breaths such as this have a powerful effect towards creating calmness within you. Be mindful of this today. Don’t be bowled over by stress, especially  other people’s. Remember to breathe. Keep your mind calm. A calm mind is a productive mind and a content one.

A quiet mind has the power to heal all wounds, upsets, feelings of dis-ease, disease, heartbreak, sorrow, and general feelings of malady. So do it. Quiet your mind. Feeling distressed and/or out of sorts? Depressed? Sad? Uncomfortable? The answer is to sit still. Take time for yourself to simply be yourself. Get passed the needs and projections of others. Place yourself front and center. Take a break from the outside world. Focus on yourself today. We all have to do this from time to time.It keeps us healthy, centered, and grounded. If you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll end up driving yourself crazy. Don’t drive yourself crazy. Take a rest.

Rest. Relax. Take easy. Don’t try so hard today. Do what you have to do, of course, but let somebody else go above and beyond just this once. It’s not always up to you to be the perfect one. Just have a calm, simple day as much as you can. Have you been pushing yourself too hard recently? There are those times, yes, when we all must put in that extra effort to get things done and be an overachiever. But all this work can take its toll. It wears us out. It makes us tired. Today, spend time recuperating from all that extra work. Take a break.

Take a rest. You deserve it. Stress and pressure and anxiety have been mounting. It’s time to combat it. Take a day for yourself where yo do not have to answer to anybody or anything, and only just do the things that are appealing to you. Perhaps this means exercise, work in the garden, paint a room, or just sit and stare at a  wall. It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s exactly what you feel like doing, and remember, you don’t have to answer to anybody for it. Rest. Relax. Meditate. Get back to being the person you most enjoy and need to be without the pressures of external forces acting on you.
