The Emperor (Voyager Tarot)

Where is your head at? Are you keeping it about you as all about you are losing there’s as Rudyard Kipling wrote in his classic poem, IF? Do your best to take Kipling’s advice here, others need you to. Somebody needs to be the clear thinker when the situation turns turbulent or chaotic, and that is something that happens. Be the voice of reason. Be the one to take control of the situation. Be the one to put your foot down and set the rules. Be the one to calm  the chaos. Cut through the confusion and the mental fog that is stifling others. Be the one to see and think clearly. Somebody has to. You may not be appreciated and shown gratitude for it, but put those concerns aside for the sake of others you are helping. Be the one who sees what needs doing, then be the one to do it and delegate.

Be flexible but be strong today. Don’t be blown over by the demands and actions of others, yet consider what they have to say and be fair in your response. Somebody must be the ultimate decision maker when there are many opinions to be considered. Today, this person is you. Be the strong one. Be the authoritative one. Say “no” when “no”must be said and stick to it. Your decisions may not make you popular, but that does not mean they are not the right decisions to be making. Stay firm. Stay strong. You are the one to be looked up to.

The Emperor card in Tarot

The Emperor is grounded. The Emperor is rooted solidly into the earth. The Emperor, as an un-swaying, unwavering person is the authority figure. Ideally, this person will be open to the ideas and feelings of others, but will take into consideration what is best for all and not be wishy-washy. The Emperor is a leader and must be able to make quick decisions and stick to them.

We each must release all feelings of inferiority. This is an aspect of the Emperor card. Understand your own power. Embrace your own power and emerge as a warrior butterfly from the cocoon. This does not mean a need to dominate others. No that would an act of the ego. Have a simple understanding of your own power as you relate to yourself and how you relate to others. Understand the wave you ride- the energetic wave. What do you uniquely contribute to the collective whole? How does your individual and unique self contribute to the collective consciousness? It is time to be the authority figure. It is for you today to lay down the law and make sure it is adhered to. This is not a day to be wishy-washy. This is a day to be firm and decisive. Examine what is going on, compare it to what should be going on, and implement a strategy to eliminate anything unon-conducive to perfection.
