Venting

We say we want to “vent our frustrations.” We verbally express our frustrations and our feelings of hardships to another. Why do we do this? We do this because our frustrations and hardships make us feel a lack of love. We feel distant from harmony and feel that we have been pushed far from what we are trying to accomplish in this life. This emphasizes the sense of separation that we feel from Source. By “venting” we hope to energetically connect with a positive vibe that will lift us up from the negative state we have sunken into and feel a degree lifted, and thus closer to source.

Because expressing our frustrations to another helps us to feel that connection to our divine source, it is important to the person doing the venting to listen and offer compassion. This compassion is all they are truly seeking, a sense that they are not alone. Frustration and feelings of dis-ease, regardless of what it is that puts us in that state makes us feel alone on the planet. So to listen to others and being compassionate offers a sense of relief from this sense of aloneness.
