The true purpose of our life, our presence in human form upon the earth is to learn lessons. We all do, our spirits, strive to attain perfection. So, we create situations, both painful and joyful, to facilitate those lessons. In this way, our spirits crave pain. We crave this pain that we may work our way through it in order to become more perfect, to appreciate the true perfection we all possess. And this is exciting to know. For people to understand this will change the perspective they all face in the world. No longer will they be “victims” but rather “students”- students of human form. Our bodies are but vehicles of the spirit. It is our spirit that drives the body. The trick is for the mind to fully surrender to the spirit and allow the spirit to have the experiences it has set out to have. If the mind interferes too much, it only causes difficulties for the spirit in accomplishing what it set out to accomplish. If the mind interferes too much, it will damage the spirit’s chance to learn the lesson a particular situation was designed to teach. What happens then? An opportunity must be created whereby the spirit will have the opportunity to experience this lesson again. This can only slow down the spirit’s progress as it goes back to redo this lesson when it could be putting energy into learning and experiencing something new and different. Imagine that the spirit has a checklist of experiences and lessons it wants to accomplish in its current human form. The sooner it can check off that it had one experience and learned the lesson, it can check it off and move on to another. Is this check list presented in a chronological order that it must go through? That is doubtful. More likely, it is presented in a nonlinear fashion. Each lesson represents a piece of the puzzle. The objective is to collect as many pieces as you can. Of course, our guides and our angels are guiding us towards the pieces. We must only open ourselves to their guidance and to follow, even/especially when pain is involved. Do not fear pain. Embrace it.

Dark to Light
Once you experience The Light, you will never live in darkness again. When challenges come your way, when things seem dark, you know that the light is there. How can you not know? You’ve experienced it. It is organic to you, is it not? You know how to vanquish the dark to let the light in. The light never left. It simply fell into a shadow. The light being who you truly are, it is so much easier, and a natural thing to do, to follow this new shadow back to the light. In this way, darkness can never truly engulf you.
Egoless Guides
In that there is no ego on the other side of the veil, does it not make sense that the guides and the beings that guide us on our path will likely do so silently, not needing the affirmation that notice will provide? They do so with the single need and desire to see us to our destination, and out of harm’s way. They do not need constant attention as they do this. Just seeing us to our destination up the Mountain of Perfection is joy enough for them.
Ego, Doubt, and Fear
The ego bases its existence on doubt and fear, always wanting the spirit to second guess itself and live according to appeasing doubt and indulging fear. But what the intuition knows can not be affected by fear. This is why we must absolutely learn to listen to intuition. Its wisdom is true. So what does the ego want, really? The ego wants to be heard. The ego wants to be right. The ego wants to be in charge. To many, the ego has won. They listen to the doubt and the fear. The intuition speaks, but they say “that is illogical. How can that be right?” So they deny what the ego is telling them. This is not an authentic life, for authenticity is rooted in the heart, not the mind. Keep this in your knowings.
Enduring Pain
To endure pain is to help the human race to evolve. That is not to say to deliberately inflict pain on ourselves, no that would be ridiculous. The point here is to know that in times of pain and hardship, when the heart feels it can bare no more, these are times of growth, of lessons. Accept this. Accept it as a stretch of road on your journey towards your personal light. Consider your personal light to be the horizon you are journeying towards and that the light is the purpose you chose when you made the decision to incarnate such as you have. To endure the pain means to get through it, to the other side of it, stronger, wiser, and that much closer to your light. As we learn, the human race grows stronger. As we reach our light, the human race evolves. Consider this.
Masks
Daily, I witness the masks that people wear that hides their true selves. Why do they wear these masks? They wear these masks because they are secure in the attention they can get from others as long these masks are in place. They are unsure and uncertain of the attention they may receive from their own true authentic selves. To be aware of the masks others wear makes it possible to understand them and show understanding and compassion for them, aware that they wear these masks to hide an insecurity.
What is Luck?
What we call “luck” is only but an assessment of circumstances. When we understand that patterns we follow to create the circumstances of our lives, we can begin to consciously construct our own circumstances and change the “luck” we are having. It really is all about understanding the patterns we follow. What are we doing to keep us arriving at the same walls we hit, or what are we doing to arrive at the same alleys of forward momentum? If you are unhappy with the walls you keep hitting, pay attention to the steps that took you there and try a new approach.
The Maze to Enlightenment
Sometimes, it is a maze- our search for answers and our own personal enlightenment. Sometimes it is all just a maze. We walk through it, searching and hoping to find the opening out of it at the other end, and there are these walls we bump into. So often, it is the exact same wall we have bumped into countless times before. For some, they are content to be at that wall. They give up the journey right there. They seek to get no farther. For others, they will not be content to stay at that wall. They will backtrack; paying attention to the steps they took that led them to that wall, careful not to repeat them. This is a lesson in perseverance, to find the path that does not lead to that same wall. Wall after wall, those who have the drive, the heart, and the desire will not repeat the patterns that lead them to the same wall over and over again, but instead will lead them out of the maze into the light.
Healing your Past with Reiki
Is there a time in your past that was particularly difficult or painful? Was there a time of stress or heartache? Did you ever feel like you were in an dark tunnel, wondering if you would ever come out at the light? Can you identify a dark night of the soul? Do you look back at that time and ask yourself, “How did I ever make it through that?” Most of us can probably answer yes to this. We have all been through various degrees of difficulty in our life. How though, in the present, in the now, can we project ourselves backwards in time to aid in the healing of these times, and to comfort the person we were then? We can accomplish these things with Reiki.
Happiness
Happiness is not in the attainment of this, that, or whatever. Happiness is the natural state of all our beings. It is expressed in the uncovering of our core light that has been over covered by layer upon layer of mind gunk that is its barrier to love expression. Remove these layers, crumble the cinder blocks of fear regret, remorse, sadness, worry and be amazed at how brightly this light shines. It is and can be amazing when it is genuine.
