Card of the Day- August 19, 2012

The Chariot

What can you do to facilitate your dreams, your goals, your ambitions? Perhaps you are not in a place right now  where you feel very supported. You know what you are truly capable of and what you really should be doing, but the simple reality is where you are and what you are currently doing simply do not provide the chance to truly shine. What can you do? Shift the paradigm, create a platform for your success by packing your bags and getting out of the unsupportive situation and into one where your talents mean something, or a least a situation where you can get your feet on the ground, root in, and grow into your self from that vantage point. This may require a leap of faith, if so, leap! Go for it! Don’t keep your light bottled up. Light, by its intrinsic nature is meant to shine. So let yours! What is keeping it from shining the brightest? Address this issue and live fully.

7 of Cups (Tarot of the New Vision)

Be a dreamer. Stick your heads in the clouds. Live in a fantasy world today. Go ahead, it’s okay. Yes, sometimes we do need to have our feet on the ground. Sometimes we do need to be practical and “real.” Today though, forget all that. Explore the world of “Could Be.” In the World of Could Be, we see the real true contents of our heart. Without the restrictions of “what really is” we can figure out what it is we really want. Once we figure out what we really want, we begin the task of manifestation. So go beyond any and all limiting thoughts. Go crazy with what your real true desires are. There are no boundaries and there are no limitations. Put your head in the clouds and explore your heart’s desire. Don’t hold back!

10 of Cups

Appreciate the people in your life today.  Take a few moments to reflect on who these people are exactly. Try to go beyond the immediate answer. If you are married and have kids, of course this is your family and these are the people you are going to appreciate. But that answer is too easy. Go beyond them. Who makes up the extended family of your life? Who are the people, those at a slightly greater distance from your core, that influence and participate in your life? This is your extended family. Co-workers, friends, but even beyond that, how about the person at Starbucks who always seems to be there when you go in? Do you ever say hello? What about the cashier who’s line you always seem to end up in? What about the person who delivers your mail? Are you a student? What about your classmates? Are you a teacher? What about your students? There are many people whose lives ripple outward and touch yours. Take a moment to appreciate them. Take moment to reflect on who they are. This will lead to a feeling of oneness and an appreciation of who you yourself are in the greater scheme of life as you see the connectedness of all beings.

Card of the Day- August 11, 2012

Queen of Cups

Don’t give into anger. Be empathic and compassionate when dealing with others, especially with their feelings and their attitudes. They may seem unbearable, but try to see the situation through their eyes. What are they going through? Perhaps they have not yet learned to deal with problems in a constructive way. Maybe all they know to do is throw a tantrum. Be understanding. Be patient. Don’t respond to anger with anger. Observe anger and let it float by. Don’t add fuel to its fire.

Card of the Day- August 10, 2012

Knight of Cups (Tarot of the New Vision)

The Knight of Cups is somebody who idealizes their notions of love, romance, fairness, and integrity. So, why not do this? What is your idea of perfection? What is your idea of perfect love? Perfect romance? How would you like to see these expressed? Set an example of it today. What to you equates to fairness? Integrity? Be an example of it no matter what. Even if you feel the weight of the world is crushing you (It isn’t really. It only feels that way sometimes.) don’t slip from your ideal. Be the light that others can follow.

Card of the Day- August 9, 2012

Wheel of Fortune (Tarot of the New Vision)

Expect the unexpected, and expect it to be good. It may be some small thing, like somebody offers you a piece of cake. Maybe it is something big, like an unexpected promotion. Large or small, whatever it may be, be thankful for it. Show gratitude. Gratitude is, after all, the door to abundance. The more you express it, the more opportunities you will have to express it will come to you. So pay attention to your fortunes, be they monetary, material, or simply good vibes. They are all valuable and they are all worthwhile.

Card of the Day- August 8, 2012

Ace of Wands

Imagine the initial spark- inspiration of a great idea. This spark is worth becoming a fire. Feed this spark. Give it what it needs to grow. Give it attention. Give it fuel. Pay attention to it. Keep feeding it until it is an inferno. This is how great ideas become powerful institutions. They start with that initial spark of an idea, and then they are kept alive. They are not forgotten. They are not dismissed. Pay attention to the inspirations that come your way today. Bring them to life. Have the patience to allow them to become great. Feed them, nurture them, watch them grow. We all have the ability to be powerful creators. Tap into that power.

Card of the Day- August 7, 2012

Wheel of Fortune

Share your talents, your resources, your time, your energy. What better way to appreciate and enjoy what you have than by sharing it with others? If others need your help, find time to help them. What talents do you have that you can offer? Are you a healer? Offer your services to those in need of it. Are you a good listener? Be there for somebody who needs advice. What can you do for each other? What trades can you make? A tarot card reading for a massage? A Reiki treatment for tax advice? A poem for a ride to work? Fortune comes in many forms. It can be as simple as having something to offer. Offer what you can. What will you receive in return?

Page of Swords

You know what they say, “From the mouth of babes…” Be prepared to hear the truth spoken directly and unfiltered. You may be taken aback by the directness or the bluntness of it, but don’t let get it get to you. They are speaking without the filters that many speak through, simply because they are unaware of these filters. This could be the result of a cultural difference, a language barrier, an unawareness that certain words or phrases carry different implications than what they intended. If something said to you feels a little off or a little weird, keep these things in mind. No ill-intent was directed towards you. Just go with the flow.
